It’s February everyone! Do you know what that means? And no, I’m not talking about Valentine´s if that’s what you’re thinking. I’m talking about a certain week. The week that everyone talks about, dreams about, and loves about.
Yes, New York Fashion Week.
This was my second time attending this event, I’m so happy and blessed to be part of this incredible fashion madness. It’s the land of amazing street styles, liberty, diversity, love, passion and hard work.
As you step out of the cab at the Moynihan Station, you can feel the Fashion Week vibe, the street just becomes your runway. Women and men from all over the world arrive here wearing looks that everyone would die for. You see people wearing from high- end fashion to street casual fashion. It’s the combination, the energy and the style they transmit. Photographers just pop up every step of the way, you instantly feel and become Gigi or Kendall or whoever inspires you.
THE SHOWS
The first runway I was invited to was Tadashi Shoji Fall 2016. It involved tribal beauty, a remix of body ornamentation. Modern primitive effortless, serpentine lines, body seduction and glitters on skin. Made for tribal beats and young nighters.
Also, in every show there are special guests that designers invite to watch each collection. This time was no exception and it was the fierce Miss J. Alexander that shook our minds. You can remember Miss J. from the show America´s next top model, co-hosting with world’s goddess Tyra Banks.
Second show was Francesca Liberatore. Black and nude palettes all over the runway. Strong faces, women liberation, and world warriors in heels.
Next day, we woke up having a -12C, but the cold wouldn’t stop us from going to our next runway, Lie Sang Bong.
Lie Sang Bong Fall 16, took place at Pier 59 studios. Such an amazing place for a fashion show to take place. Rainbows and pastels entering my eyes every 10 seconds. Delicate movements, sounds and palettes surrounded the place.
Last but not least, Son Jung Wan Fall Winter 2016. Wool jackets, silk dresses, leather details and multicolored wool wool wool. I’d live this collection for the rest of my life.
Street Style is present in every corner in NYC. So here’s my favorite Fashion Week look during these days.
So long NYFW, always a golden pleasure.
